Sharon Simpson

My love of sports coupled with the immense pleasure I receive from my various roles within the Youth Service and play scheme provision, has naturally led me to becoming a PE teacher. I now have over 30 years extensive teaching and management experience working in inner London secondary schools. For many years I have enjoyed working with a variety of sporting, career and personal development community-based programmes.

I consider my involvement as a member of Behaviour Advisor committee highly important to me.  I try to do my very best to further enhance Arco’s knowledge, expertise and capacity to improve behaviour in learning policies & procedures. Further to this, implementing opportunities to create a more conducive learning environment enabling students to improve their skills, overall conduct and most importantly to replicate their personal development in their everyday life.

I am passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people, supporting them to exceed their potential and cementing their successful transition into adult life. I strive to inspire others to do things they never thought they could achieve. All my endeavours, whilst working with young people are in line with Arco’s goals for improving academic performance, reshaping their character to further pave students’ personal success and ultimately ‘empowering students to be the very best version of themselves’.
