Admissions
Choosing the right school is an important decision, and at Arco Academy we are committed to supporting families, local authorities, schools and professionals throughout every stage of the admissions process. We believe that every young person has the right to an inspirational and aspirational education that enables them to achieve their full potential.
Arco Academy is an independent co-educational specialist school for students aged 11-16. Our specialist focus is sport, which is embedded throughout our curriculum and wider school offer to promote wellbeing, personal development, engagement and achievement. We support young people with a range of special educational needs and disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, SEMH needs, social communication difficulties and specific learning difficulties. Applications are considered individually based on whether we can meet a student's needs safely and effectively within our provision.
Our admissions process is designed to help us understand each young person's strengths, aspirations and support needs. Following an initial enquiry, a member of our Admissions Team will contact you to discuss the next steps, which may include a school visit, requesting relevant reports and completing a pre-admissions assessment.
We welcome enquiries from parents, carers, local authorities, schools and other professionals who would like to explore whether Arco Academy may be the right provision for a young person.
