Holocaust Memorial Day at Arco

Wednesday 27^th January marked Holocaust Memorial Day with the theme ‘Be the light in the darkness‘ students received valuable information about the Holocaust and the actions of the Nazi Germans who murdered nearly 6 million Jews, 76 years ago. The lessons learnt of this session showed students about solidarity, unity, understanding persecution, prejudice, propaganda and how young people can challenge discrimination and embrace unity.

Students: Alayna said ‘I think Memorial Day is really good as we can use it as a way to remember the victims and pay our respects.’

Ava- also added ‘The lesson was interesting, and I learnt a lot of things about the Holocaust and how Memorial Day is celebrated all over the country.’
